The tradition of releasing these free compilations have been going for twelve years now. Ordinarily I'd use this space to reflect on the year just gone; looking back on the highlights and lowlights with a contemplative glance at the year ahead.

I've found that hard this year. Too much has gone on in 2022, and too much of it was filled with things that I don't really want to revisit. So all I'll say is that music continues to be a source of solace and one that we should cling to, protect and nurture as much as we can. There are hard times ahead but if we stick together we'll get through it.

I'm certainly grateful for the group of artists on this compilation. With art like this, brighter days are always around the corner.
